— 2‑week Research ($1,500): orientation + curator touchpoints, shared meals, 24/7 studio access, archival pathways, and a public‑facing close.

Elsewhere Leaves Dormancy—Applications Open for 2026 Artist Residencies

Elsewhere Living Museum is entering a new season; embracing the seed of growth and renewal across the museum and residency. We invite artists to make, research, and collaborate inside our singular ecosystem of objects and histories, where the collection itself becomes your medium and nothing new enters, nothing leaves.

Residency Options

• Foundational Residency (4 weeks): $2,500; private room; stocked pantry; 12,000 sq ft workspace; workshops; curatorial support; public engagement; documentation; and access to a 700+ alumni network.

• Research Residency (2 weeks): $1,500; orientation and curator touchpoints; 24/7 studio access; shared meals; archival pathways; and a public‑facing close.
2026 Cohorts

• Research: #118 (June 7–21), #119 (July 4–18)

• Foundational: #120 (August 13–September 9), #121 (October
15–November 11)

Expectations & Opportunities

Residents receive room and board; materials and tools; documentation and promotion; and representation online and in the museum. Collection‑based projects remain onsite; digital editions are yours to keep (with one edition for the archive). A $500 non‑refundable deposit is due upon acceptance.
Eligibility

Artists 18+ across disciplines who value co‑creation, reuse, public engagement, social practice, and collective experimentation. Collectives and international artists encouraged to apply.
