E&E is the product of two friends with complimentary interests of lettering and sewing who also have a love for the Bible and a desire to have more of it in their homes. Shelly and Tina hand letter, screen print and individually sew each design.

Emma Leedy is an artist based in Greenville, South Carolina, creating whimsical gouache illustrations inspired by God’s beautiful creation, classic literature, and fairytales. As a stay-at-home mother of three, Emma especially enjoys creating smaller pieces like hand painted framed ornaments and mini fridge magnet sets. Her work invites viewers into peaceful scenes that celebrate creativity, faith, and child-like wonder.

Great collections—however noteworthy—do not endure without the oversight of dedicated custodians. Directors and curators readily come to mind. But no matter how gifted, their vision cannot be realized without a diversly gifted staff whose knowledge of the collection and passion for sharing its value is equal to those in the more visible roles. Listen to several of these “behind-the- scenes” talents who over the years have had an integral role in fulfilling and extending M&G’s mission of “using the collection at home and abroad to transform lives through art, enriching the whole person—mind, heart, and soul.”

M&G’s Museum on the Move Educator, Marlene Reed taught 11 fourth and fifth grade students in the Atlas Afterschool Art Club at Cannons Elementary School. Mrs. Nicole Myers is the sponsor for the club, where the students enjoyed an M&G arts integration lesson about Graphic Design. The lesson explained the tools used by graphic designers as well as their purpose to combine text, color, and image to craft a message. The students learned to look at details in the graphic logos of various candy bar brands by using a viewfinder, and then they created a large-scale version of what they saw. Mrs. Myers will post their logos where student snacks are sold at school.
