A few years ago we spent a few weeks vacationing it Italy. We began our trip in Venice. While on Murano Island, I saw this young girl in the red dress reading the posters on the wall on the other side of the canal from where I stood. I captured the moment just before she turned to walk away. The scene and colors lent itself to creating a painterly look for this image.
