Driggs Plein Air Driggs Plein Air - The Annual Festival of Plein Air Artists in Teton Valley, Idaho, on the Western Slope of the Tetons in late July. We can't wait to see you!

Driggs Digs Plein Air is a multi-day event in late July, in Driggs, Idaho. Artists from all over the country are invited to participate in the Plein Air competition, Paint Outs, Workshops, Demonstrations, Quick Draws, and Exhibition and Sale. Art Lovers and collectors are welcome to watch the painters at work and browse the exhibit at the City Gallery and at the Quick Draws. The fabulous views, climate, and friendly people of Teton Valley, Idaho make for a perfect venue.

Join Kathryn as she teaches how to master the use of color value in a 2-day long workshop - July 23 & 24 entitled, "It's all about your values".

Known for her vibrant color, strong compositions, and expressive brushwork, Kathryn is influenced by artists such as Edgar Payne and the Taos painters. She is dedicated to painting landscapes from direct observation. Kathryn is a Master Artist with the Plein Air Convention and a two-time People’s Choice winner at Maynard Dixon Country and teaches plein air workshops across the United States and internationally. The 14th Annual Driggs Plein Air Festival, July 26 - August 1, is right around the corner. 75 renowned artists will gather to capture the incredible beauty of Teton Valley.

The public is invited to watch artists at work throughout the festival and browse and purchase hundreds of artworks for sale (created daily) at the Driggs City Gallery, 60 South Main Street.

Join us for the Opening Reception and Downtown Sounds Concert with Local Kin (7/27), Grand Targhee Resort Paint Out (7/28), Downtown Victor Quick Draw (7/29), Collector's Party and Artist Talk (7/31), and People's Choice Voting and the final Awards Ceremony and Reception (8/1).

The festival offers opportunities for the public to experience creativity in action and browse and purchase original artwork of Teton Valley's mountains, waterways, farms, fields, forests, and more!

Thank you Linn Canyon Ranch in Victor for hosting the 2024 Driggs Plein Air Judged Competition Quick Draw! Linn Canyon Ranch's gorgeous horses, fields, farmland, barns, forests and more will all be captured in paint by 43 national plein air artists this morning, July 24!

The artists must be back to Driggs Plaza, 60 South Main Street, by 11am to hang their Linn Canyon Ranch Quick Draw pieces in the white outdoor tent for judging. Awards are at noon - all are invited to attend and hear the judges talk about their criteria and the variety of artistic expression caught their eye.

All of the Linn Canyon Ranch Quick Draw pieces are available to view and purchase as are hundreds of other plein air paintings through Friday, July 26th at Driggs Plaza Gallery with an extended show and sale at Teton Geo Center through September 20.

This Friday, July 26th is the grand finale of the 13th Annual Driggs Plein Air Festival at Driggs Plaza, 60 South Main Street, with a special outdoor performance by the lively Black Rock Wind Quintet from 6-7:30pm!

Everyone is invited to watch the formal Competition Awards Ceremony at Driggs Plaza from 4:30-5:30pm where cash prizes and more are awarded to 1st, 2nd, 3rd place, People's and Artist's Choice, honorable mentions, and award categories for the Teton Arts youth division! Hear the competition judges talk about their criteria and the elements of artistic expression that caught their eye.

Don't miss this spirited evening of art and music! 100's of gorgeous plein air paintings by 72 national artists will be available to view and purchase throughout the evening.

Beer on tap by Citizen 33 Brewery, wine by Two Mountain Winery, food by Pinky G's Pizzeria, and treats by Salt Lick Pops.

The nonprofit Downtown Driggs Association’s 13th Annual Driggs Plein Air Festival kicks off with a FREE Downtown Sounds concert TONIGHT, Sunday, July 21st from 6-8pm with The Shift at Driggs Plaza, 60 South Main Street in downtown Driggs, Idaho.

The Shift is an all-star lineup of seasoned jazz and R&B musicians from the Rocky Mountain Region. Whether it’s the intensity and earthiness of Marvin Gaye and Al Green or the melodic lushness of George Gershwin and Duke Ellington, The Shift delivers!

Hundreds of beautiful plein air paintings by 75 national plein air artists will be available to view and purchase during the event and throughout Driggs Plein Air Festival (July 17 - 26). Don’t miss this spirited summer evening that weaves together music and art!

Beer on tap from Citizen 33 Brewery, wine from Two Mountain Winery, food from Captain Ron’s Smokehouse and treats by Salt Lick Pops.

The Downtown Sounds Concert Series is presented by Teton Valley Health Care, Driggs Plein Air Festival is presented by Sun-Ray Enterprises, both events are powered by the nonprofit Downtown Driggs Association.

Visit downtown Tetonia this Tuesday, July 23, between 8-10:30am for the 13th Annual Driggs Plein Air Festival Downtown Quick Draw Competition! Artists from across the U.S. and Canada will set-up outdoors to capture the town's unique character and wonderful views. The artists have to hurry back to Driggs Plaza by 11am with their still wet works, framed and ready to judge!

All are invited to Driggs Plaza, 60 South Main Street, from 11am-1:30pm to cast your vote for your favorite Tetonia Quick Draw painting for the coveted People's Choice Award, announced at 2pm. We need your vote!

All of the Quick Draw pieces, and many more, will be available for sale at the Driggs City Gallery.

The nonprofit Downtown Driggs Association is grateful to the City of Tetonia and Mayor Brent Schindler for hosting the first Tetonia-based Driggs Plein Air Quick Draw!

Downtown Driggs Association's 13th Annual Driggs Plein Air Festival, presented by Sun-Ray Enterprises, starts today! 84 gorgeous plein air paintings are already hung and ready to enchant viewers. All of the works (there will be hundreds!) are for sale at the Driggs Plein Air headquarters and gallery at 60 South Main Street in downtown Driggs, Idaho through July 27th after which an Extended Show & Sale will be offered through September at the Teton Geo Center.
