It is with deep sadness that the Dublin Volunteer Fire Company announces the passing of Past President and Life Member Elmer Kriebel.

Elmer dedicated more than 70 years of service to the DVFC, joining as a young teenage boy and becoming a cornerstone of our organization. Over the course of nearly three decades as President, he helped guide, shape, and strengthen our department through times of growth, challenge, and change. His leadership and unwavering commitment to the community left an impact that will be felt for generations.

Elmer was especially proud of Tanker 23 a truck he helped design and build. It was considered his truck by many—a reflection of his craftsmanship, dedication, and deep pride in the department he loved. This truck is still active in our fleet today.

Elmer was not just a member—he was a fixture of the fire company, a mentor, and a friend whose presence will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of serving alongside him.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to the Kriebel family during this difficult time.

Additional details will be shared as they become available.
