"Palimpsest: Photography by Randy Richmond" in the Main Gallery
> Event Details: First Friday | Palimpsest: Photography by Randy Richmond
Some stories are written once. Others are written again and again—layered, erased, resurfaced. In Palimpsest, photographic artist Randy Richmond reveals the traces that linger beneath the visible. His images feel unearthed rather than made, shaped by the quiet tension between light and shadow, presence and absence, memory and material. Each photograph invites a second look, then a third, as if the truth of the image is slowly rising through the surface. Palimpsest uncovers the hidden strata of experience, merging still-life and landscape traditions into haunting visual narratives. Richmond creates work that feels both timeless and urgently present. These are images that remember, holding the past like a faint echo beneath the now.

At the edge of illumination, the body becomes both form and landscape.
"The Edge of Light: Bodyscapes by Amy May Laskye" is a black and white study of the human form shaped by shadow and revealed through light. Each image honors line, contour, and quiet strength; where vulnerability and power coexist. Stripped of distraction, the work invites viewers to slow down and witness the beauty that emerges at the very edge of illumination.
Amy May Laskye is a Certified Professional Photographer with a studio on Main Street in Galena, IL. As the owner of Amy May Photography and Reflections Bo***ir Studio, her work spans weddings, portraiture, bo***ir, and conceptual photography.
