🎃👻 EEK! The Depot 👻🎃

We’re thrilled to announce that the LSRM Youth in conjunction with the Lake Superior Railroad Museum is once again participating in the "EEK! The Depot" event at the St. Louis County Depot this Saturday, October 26th! 🎉

Join us for free museum trick-or-treating from 11 AM to 2 PM. 🍬🍭 It’s going to be a fantastic day filled with costumes, candy, and community fun!

Last week, the group painted the museum’s miniature train at the North Shore Scenic Railroad’s platform. The train was originally constructed and operated on Donald B. Shank’ private backyard railroad, Shank was a major founding member of the museum and his train now presides here at the museum providing a photo opportunity to visitors.

Another beautiful day permitted the group to apply to a protective paint to Erie Mining B-Unit #4222 at the Lake Superior Railroad Museum along with patching an area of walkway with some ballast. Next week the group will celebrate all their work this summer with a small get together.

It was a beautiful day here in Duluth, because of the weather our volunteers accomplished some projects outside today!

A couple of weeks ago some of our volunteers worked on cleaning Northern Pacific caboose #1311 preparing the interior for eventual opening to the public here at the Lake Superior Railroad Museum. The team enjoyed pizza for lunch and completed the job swiftly.
