Dear Prøve friends and family,
We need your help.
For nearly 15 years, it has been an honor to serve our community with contemporary arts programming. From our humble beginnings in 2011, we have been an all-volunteer, non-profit arts organization funded by community donations, regional and state grants, and fueled by devotion, passion, sweat, and tears.
Prøve plays a pivotal role in the small, but mighty, arts ecosystem that exists within the Twin Ports. We take our place, alongside our peer arts institutions, as a space for experimental art and music; a place that serves emerging artists alongside established artists. We pride ourselves on community-centered exhibitions and performances that bring together all who want to engage in and engage with creative expression. To lose Prøve would be to lose a dedicated arts space that exists to encourage, facilitate, and lift up the creativity of our neighbors.
It would also mean losing what we offer to you, our many audiences. Our mission is to find ways to benefit our community. Through our diverse art exhibitions, music and spoken-word performances, workshops, and art-making events, we strive to give back to the Twin Ports through inclusiveness and accessibility to the arts.
We face our future with great uncertainty. One thing we know for sure is that you can help us stay alive and active. We are reaching out to you, our friends, our family, and our heroes, to contribute to our future, to ensure that we can remain a gallery/venue at which to gather and share our collective dedication to the arts.
And so, we are asking for donations. Our goal is to raise $5000, which will keep us open until the end of 2026, as we work on long-term solutions. A donation of $1500 will keep us fully operational for a month.
Any donation, no matter the size, will help us towards our goal. If you cannot donate at this time, please share our message and know that we are grateful for each and every one of you who has supported us throughout the years.
