Did Young George Washington really chop down a cherry tree?? Come and find out!

The writer of the cherry tree story was Dumfries resident, Mason Locke Weems.

At 1:00 on Saturday, May 9th, listen to "Mason Locke Weems," aka author Jim Bish, talk about his life in colonial Dumfries and the Cherry Tree Story. This talk will be held at the Merchant Park Gazebo, 3944 Cameron Street, Dumfries, Virginia 22026.
