I was honored to have both of my Art Array entries accepted into the exhibition. Both are color photographs printed on metal and mounted to salvaged wood frames. Please join me at the opening reception on Thursday evening or stop and view the show through the end of May.

Historic Bishop Hill, IL is always a beautiful destination, especially in the Fall. The colors in town seemed to much more brilliant compared to many of the woodlands in the countryside.

I have photographed around 75 silo trees around the Midwest. This one near K**b Noster, MO is a memorable one. It is a landmark right along Hwy 50 and frequently photographed. I was glad to record my impressions of it and meet the farmer that owns it. He said that the tree inspired the publishing of a children's book. As I was leaving, he came out with a bottle of his homemade wine...have not tried it so far.

Driving south of Mendon, MO at the sunset a few days ago, the light passing through the remaining framework of the silo roof first caught my eye. Black & white time of year. Located another silo tree while out on a bike ride. I believe it is another hackberry tree, they seem to thrive in old silos!

Recent hike at Starved Rock State Park has a little drab since the Fall colors were long gone and made for a good subject to choose black and white...here are a few examples. The park is the most popular in Illinois with over 2.6 million visitors annually. Due to the dry weather, all of the waterfalls were down to trickles or totally dry. It still made for a great outing.
