This Friday, May 1, join us for the opening of an exhibition of works by David Day!
'The Emotional Residue of Dreams' features over 100 photographs by this Flat Rock-based artist, who is internationally recognized for his innovative use of intentional camera movement in the studio, creating abstract images that blend motion, emotion, and texture. A portion of the sales from this show will benefit the Blue Ridge Humane Society.
The reception will be from 6β8pm, with remarks by David and representatives from the Blue Ridge Humane Society at 6:45pm. David will be signing of his newly released book, The Emotional Residue of Dreams, his fourth publication exploring the art and technique of intentional camera movement photography.
During the exhibition a work titled 'Violinist' by Oliver Wendell Day (a dog) will be auctioned off to raise funds for the Blue Ridge Humane Society (the first image here). 'Violinist' is a K9- Intentional Camera Movement image produced in the D'Day Photo Art studio, likely the only ICM image ever made by a dog π
