The information below is provided by Deb Solem, an active member of Heritage Village. Come and see the display this weekend at Heritage Days!

This is the week that I help get ready for EGF Heritage Days. We decided last year to do a wedding dress display. They thought it would be fun to have some dresses that were actually worn in the Granville Church. Well I happened to have 2 dresses that were worn for weddings in this church. My Grandma Helen Farder Lofthus married Lars Lofthus in 1914 and my Mom Patricia Lofthus Gowan married my Dad Gary Gowan in 1958! Both of these dresses along with my wedding dress from 1979 and the Baptism dress that all of us kids wore are on display this weekend for Heritage Days in the Granville church. It is the 50th anniversary of Heritage this year. I got a little teared up when those dresses could all be at the church where it all started. I wish Mom and Dad were here to see it. Come out this weekend and take part in the festivities. Parade Thursday, car show and music Friday Saturday and Sunday lots of demos, exhibits and fun.
