The Varnum House Museum was proud to host numerous family tours on Memorial Day. Perhaps it was a bad day for a parade, but it was perfect for a museum visit! We were busy all day! We appreciated the great engagement with the kids who learned about 18th-century life, the Revolutionary War, and the accomplishments of General James Mitchell Varnum.
Afterwards, they also enjoyed visiting our Historic Preservation Gardens (once the weather improved...) to see the East Greenwich Liberty Tree; our pollinator garden; the herb, dye, and medicine garden; and our Three Sisters Garden.
