At 11:00am tomorrow, Tuesday 21 March at East Hampton Town Hall, Mike Devonshire of Jan, Hird, Pokorny Associates will present to the Town Board the Condition Assessment Report prepared on the landmarked structures of the town-owned Brooks Park property. Supporters of this preservation effort are strongly encouraged to attend in person or call in to express their commitment to this project and the full recovery, restoration and reuse of this site as an arts and nature center representing and celebrating the legacy of James Brooks and Charlotte Park.

Sponsored by the Springs Historical Society and Community Library, Arts and Archives is a celebration of Springs' unique and essential place in the life and history of East Hampton Town. Organized and curated by Teri Kennedy, the exhibition will showcase the work of contemporary Springs artists alongside archival items from the SHS, community members and other community organizations.

I have been invited to speak at the closing event, a Curator's Tour, on Sunday, October 30th, at 1:00pm. The exhibition will be featuring James Brooks' original 1973 poster for the Fisherman's Fair and, as a member of the Brooks Park Arts and Nature committee , I will speak briefly about James Brooks and Charlotte Park and the endangered Brooks-Park historical site on Neck Path.
