Here are our additional Memorial Day Flag sponsors. Remember, May 30th is the read date of Memorial Day. The flags will remain up through June. We have several flag events at the World War II Legacy Foundation, Inc. Museum in June so it is not too late to sponsor one in honor of a loved one. Thank you.

Yesterday at the World War II Legacy Foundation Museum, we had a visitor, Lynda D., from Barkhampsted. Her father served during WWII and was a prison guard in Japan after the Surrender. We learned the job required men with advance skills and high intelligence and abilities. His job was to guard the high ranking Japanese military who were guilty of war crimes. She place some really interesting photos and other documents on loan. It was an awesome visit and we learned a lot. These items are very delicate but we may be displaying them later this year. Thank you Lynda for sharing with us.

Our first Annual TAPS ACROSS AMERICA ceremony went really well. We had about 30 attendees and our trumpeter, Phillip, and bagpipes, Rick Beaulieu , both did a great job. This was a heartfelt tribute for Memorial Day. Plan to join us next year's Memorial Day.
