This enchanting library is located in St. Florian Monastery, Austria. The library contains 130,000 items, including numerous 16th and 17th century works, and late medieval manuscripts. In January 1941, the Gestapo seized the entire facility and expelled the monks. The Reichsrundfunkgesellschaft ("Radio Society of the Third Reich"), under general director Heinrich Glasmeier, operated from St. Florian until the end of the war.
