Located in the seaside town of Eastport, Maine, Mr. LaVallee carries on the Maine tradition of quality craftsmanship. CROW TRACKS has offered art lovers a wide variety of handmade woodcarvings available at affordable prices since 1984. I carve items to order on request. Also I do have a wide selection of items to pick from in my gallery. My regular business hours are from April 1st to January 1st.

Well all is looking good here at CROW TRACKS. Blue skies and I am Just waiting for some visitors for away to show up here in Eastport. Early June is a tough wait for me after a winter of creation. My gallery looks good and I want to start the selling part. Making buyers happy and me!

Happy Memorial Day. Happy might not be the right word. Respect probably would fit. Respect for all the troops that gave their lives to make America what it is today. This week I did a little gun stock carving my first time. I think next time I should carve in some fancy scroll work to jazz it up.

Another bluebird carving I just made. The last one was only for sale about a month before it was sold. Keep your eyes open wild ones might just show up in your yard. It is that time of year.

Wow time sure flies by when you spend time on the woods. 6:15 is pretty late for my entry. Lots of woodpeckers, hawks, geese, and a turkey were seen. Also a white breasted Robin whatever that bird was.

A gift of a piece of mahogany last year led me to do a couple of different pieces of art. Here is a relief carved piece of a flock of nighthawks. One of my favorite birds I see along the rivers and lakes.

Reviewing my past Facebook carving posts, I noticed the images were very black and white. A little color really jazzes things up especially when it comes to birds. I thought an image of my new He gull and She gull just might help the overall effect.

Keep your eyes and ears open for the Eastern P*e wee. Common in our Maine forest and back yard tree canopies. A delightful song it sings. This wall hanging carving of the P*e wee can be found here at the CROW TRACKS Woodcarving Studio.

Well, it was one of those weeks when a carver decides what to carve that is out of the box of normal. This raven perched on a few tires is what I came up with. I learned a lot and the style will change a bit on the next one but for March 2026 this is it at CROW TRACKS.
