What a year Wings of the North had in 2025!

✈️ Our museum was busier than ever, with visitors from all over Minnesota and the US as well as Canada, Turkey, Japan, Australia and so many more countries!

✈️ We had nearly 3k attendees to our refreshed AirFair this past July! We're already excited and working on AirFair 2026!

✈️ Our 2025 Sweepstakes was fantastic! We were able to give away $30,000 to one lucky local recipient! We can't wait to kick off not one, but two, sweepstakes this coming year! 🎟 πŸ’°

✈️ Our restoration crew was ON FIRE! πŸ”₯ They made significant progress on our BT-15, and also acquired 3 new projects that we'll be starting soon: T-28, Waco Taperwing and 19544 Piper J-3 along with some smaller projects like a turret that will end up in our museum!

✈️ We had two amazing chances to work with the Minnetonka High School Vantage Program and meet a ton of kids with a love for aviation, history, non-profit, video and marketing! We're so lucky to have amazing resources to help us grow!

2026 is going to be fantastic and we cannot wait to share our wins with you! πŸŽ‡πŸŽ†πŸ˜Š

Lookie here! πŸ‘€

Our Restoration crew has been working hard on our BT-15 and we now have beautifully functional trim tabs! This was a bit of a feat since the left and right side cables were two different lengths, so ensuring the trim tabs adjusted equally was really important!

In the comments, I'll post the control wheel - you'll notice there's a left and right control. Left is for adjusting the rudder, right is for adjusting trim tabs!

Next up, we'll be working on rigging the elevators (tensioned), then we'll be starting on sheet metal!
