GMITTER 2026

⭐️ Join us for the show reception and awards ceremony on Wednesday, March 25th, from 5-7PM in the Bruce Gallery foyer! Scholarship winners will be chosen by alumni Ryan Zimmerman.

💭 Celebrate the Artist honors Michael V. Gmitter, an art student studying metals and jewelry at Edinboro University who died in 2006. Michael’s parents established an endowment to support an annual Celebrate the Artist memorial exhibition, competition, and scholarship in their son’s name. Each Fall, PennWest Edinboro’s senior art students submit their applications for the opportunity install their artwork in a mini solo show in the university’s Bruce Gallery. Celebrate the Artist: The 17th Annual Michael V. Gmitter Memorial Scholarship Exhibition will be on view from March 23rd until April 5th.
