On Wednesday, September 9, our beloved Egg Harbor log cabin turns 100 — and a milestone like this deserves a celebration!

Join us from 1–7 p.m. for an afternoon filled with art, live music, craftsmanship, and community!

Explore a special expanded collection of fine woodworking by nationally recognized artist David Hymes and enjoy live demonstrations by Door County Artist, Door County artist Kandy Otto who will present her copper repoussé paintings and offer live demonstrations throughout the day.

Help us celebrate the generations who have kept this special cabin standing for a century.

This September, the historic log cabin that is home to Angela Lensch Gallery celebrates its 100th anniversary as part of the Egg Harbor community.

To mark the occasion, the gallery will host Celebrating a Century, a free community celebration on Wednesday, Sept. 9, from 1 to 7 pm, featuring fine art, live music and light refreshments. In addition to the music, Door County artist Kandy Otto will present her copper repoussé paintings and offer live demonstrations throughout the day, giving visitors a glimpse into her creative process.

Meet the Artist | David Hymes

For more than 30 years, David Hymes has transformed wood into pieces that blur the line between function and fine art.
With a background in architecture and decades of meticulous craftsmanship, David approaches each piece with an eye toward balance, form and function, material and movement, artistry and purpose.

His work ranges from fine furniture and cabinetry to functional sculpture and one-of-a-kind custom pieces, each thoughtfully designed to complement the space it inhabits. His process is intuitive and collaborative, allowing the natural beauty of the material and the individuality of each project to guide the finished work.

We’re honored to feature David’s work at Angela Lensch Gallery, and even more excited to showcase a special expanded collection as part of our 100th anniversary celebration.
