El Dorado Western Railway Foundation Come ride the train on the oldest railroad line west of the Mississippi! Please support El Dorado County's own railroad. (weather permitting).

As the operational component for the El Dorado County Historical Railroad Park, the El Dorado Western Railroad gives train rides on an on-going basis. Trains currently operate from the El Dorado Station on the 1st and 3rd Sundays at 4650 Oriental Rd, El Dorado, CA 95623 and the last Saturday of the month at 4241 Mother Lode Dr, Shingle Springs, CA 95682. Trains depart the station at 10 a.m., 11 a.

m. 12 noon and 1 p.m. The round trip is 30 to 40 minutes, depending on location. Suggested donation is $8 for adults (ages 9 and up) and $3 for 3 to 8. Age 2 and under ride for free. We'll see you on the train!

EDWR will run A-cars out of Shingle Springs the next two Saturdays, May 16 and 23rd. Run times are: 10am, 11am, 12noon and 1pm. There will be 0 runs on the 5th Saturday, May 30th. Ticket prices are $10 for adults 9 and up, $3 for children 4-8 and 0-3 ride free. First come first serve - no advance ticketing for A-cars. While you're there, be sure to visit Wisegal Coffee located in the station.
