Doing 2 more sculptures from home. The plan is when these are done I will return to my studio out at WNW along with my prosthetic leg. I should be good at walking by that time. I do have my leg now, and I am practicing to get used to it. One Seahorse will be similar the first one I did for adults. The other one will be smaller for kids, not shown here. Unfortunately my hot wire bow power unit fried just as I was rolling. Time to whip out the chainsaw til the new unit arrives.

The Seahorse sculpture is completed. Wet-N-Wild was nice enough to let me do this from my home. Still not full time working as insurance is poking their butts regarding the approval of my prosthetic leg. Frustrating a bit as I already had it fitted and it is ready and waiting for me at hangar clinic. I have had to develop next level patience given my leg journey over the past 5 or so years. I am happy to wait as long as necessary, although getting around on one leg is a pain.

Can not go back to work yet, so I have started some projects here at home. They are hot really big things, just the right size for the casa. I sculpted out some wings for an approved project. The fiberglass work and painting will need to wait until I get back to the studio. Pictured is a big block of material for a new sculpture. This one is much more involved than the wings. The design is ready to go. Not gonna say what it will be yet. I will let that unfold.

Getting ready to change some things up. Editing new art for an upcoming new website, etc. My previous website host is out of business. Working on some surprises.

One big project gets completed, and on the the next one. Actually, they were both being worked on at the same time, and the Elephant ruins were finished first. The surf WAVE is next in process. Sculpting complete, fiberglassing is almost complete. Next up is final finishing and assembly, then on to detail painting and graphics. Can't see it here but there will be a WNW water tube popping out inside the wave, because, why not.

It always feels good to get a big project completed and installed. This is the Elephant ruins sculpture. It is sculpted from large blocks of high density polystyrene. The finish is a little different. Normally, I would fiberglass the piece. Because this one goes to and island area, we made the decision to do a combination of fiberglass resin infused with small fiberglass strands to save time. And then, another coat of gel coat paint. It works, although, it is not as sturdy as fiberglass. In one of the shots you can see the next project in process. It is white raw foam at the moment. It will be a giant wave with a surf board for folks to stand on for photo ops.
