We are in the final stages of preparing for our annual Juneteenth Celebration! There is still time to be a sponsor for this year's parade and festival! Your sponsorship goes towards entertainment, activities, and other costs associated with that day. If you are interested in sponsoring Juneteenth, you can message our page or contact organizers through email ([email protected]).

Thankful for the Blight Bandits for helping with and capturing this video of yesterday’s clean up at the Pinetown Cemetery. Also, a special thanks to Keep Elbert County Beautiful for promoting and helping with the clean up.

We will have another clean-up this coming Saturday, April 18th. Everyone is welcome to join us!

🎉4 months from TODAY, on Saturday, JUNE 13th, we will be hosting our annual Juneteenth Parade and Festival Celebration! 🎉

Parade will begin at 4:00 and the festival on the square will run until 9:00. Live music and family fun will be had by all!

Elberton is fortunate to have the Jim-Ree African American Museum preserving and sharing the powerful contributions of local residents alongside nationally recognized figures, ensuring these stories continue to inspire future generations.

Stop by and experience this important history for yourself. The museum is open every Thursday from 2:00 to 6:00 PM. Come learn, reflect, and celebrate with us.

We are planning on having our membership drive tomorrow morning. We hope you will join us at 10:00 AM to take a tour of the museum, and then transition to the Civic Center at 11:00 to enjoy a brunch as we celebrate Jim-Ree milestones!

Planning is officially underway! 🎉

Yesterday, members of the Jim-Ree Museum Juneteenth Planning Committee met with City of Elberton leaders to begin laying the groundwork for the 2026 Juneteenth Celebration, and the excitement is already building. This is shaping up to be our best parade and festival yet!

We are deeply grateful to Mayor Daniel Graves, City Manager Kevin Eavenson, City Clerk Cindy Churney, Main Street Elberton Director Crystal Bebe, and Capt. Joey David with the Elberton Police Department for their partnership and support.

Great things truly happen when people come together. This celebration will be one of the best.
