Thank You Wapello County Foundation for providing funds for our electrical upgrade to the Eldon Depot Museum. The upgrade has greatly improved both the functionality and integrity of our building. We greatly appreciate your support of our museum and community.

Remembering Art Bedford who passed away recently. Art worked for the Rock Island out of Eldon. He came from a long line of Railroad men from both his father’s and mother’s sides of the family. Art is pictured here with his son Brian.

It’s hard to believe the Eldon Depot started its new life 25 years ago already! We plan on celebrating the Depot and the community that brought it back on August 29, 2026. Mark your calendars. Hope to see you!

Summer Hours begin Saturday, May 2nd! Regular museum hours are Saturday and Sunday, 1 - 4 PM, May to October. The Model Railroad will have select open hours on weekends also. We have grown our model railroad volunteers, but may still be short on coverage at times. We recommend you call ahead if you are specifically wanting to visit the Model Railroad to ensure it is open. Our contact number is 660-349-9843. As always, we welcome new volunteers for both the museum and model railroad. Looking forward to a great summer season.
