Summer Hours begin Saturday, May 2nd! Regular museum hours are Saturday and Sunday, 1 - 4 PM, May to October. The Model Railroad will have select open hours on weekends also. We have grown our model railroad volunteers, but may still be short on coverage at times. We recommend you call ahead if you are specifically wanting to visit the Model Railroad to ensure it is open. Our contact number is 660-349-9843. As always, we welcome new volunteers for both the museum and model railroad. Looking forward to a great summer season.

Tomorrow, December 2nd, is Giving Tuesday. It is an opportunity to support your favorite nonprofit organization. If you are looking for an organization in which to donate, the Eldon Depot Museum and Model Railroad would greatly appreciate it. We are a nonprofit organization staffed by volunteers. There is no charge to visit the museum or model railroad. We depend on donations and fundraising to continue to provide this free service. Donations may be mailed to PO Box 68, Eldon, IA 52554 or through our website donate button at eldoniadepotmuseum.org.

Hope everyone can make it to the Christmas Tree Lighting this evening! The Eldon Depot and the Eldon Model Railroad will both be open during this event if you are needing a place to get warm. You can also find some history and enjoy watching the model trains running. Enjoy all the happenings in Eldon this evening as we all get into the Christmas Spirit. Merry Christmas 🎄
