Newly fabricated parts have arrived for the Holt 10-Ton restoration.

Huge thanks to Harrison Metal Shaping for recreating the hood, gas tank, radiator shroud, and exhaust pipe for this rare crawler. Piece by piece, the Holt is starting to come back to life.

Strong teams don’t happen by accident. They’re built intentionally.

The Legacy Leadership Program is focused on practical leadership skills that actually translate to the field, the shop, and the jobsite.

Over two days, participants work through:
• Communication & accountability
• Building trust and team culture
• Leadership under pressure
• Growth mindset & self-awareness
• Coaching, clarity, and connection
• Real-world leadership application

Our May 20–21 class is nearly full, and this is your last chance to reserve a seat before registration closes.

We’ve also opened our next session:
📅 June 23–24

Something small just rolled in… with a BIG story behind it.

Meet the 1915 Holt Midget—and yes, that’s its real name.

Over 300 were built. Today, only about 10 still exist.

Now, this rare piece of history has a new home inside the Legacy Center—carefully moved in by Andy, Corey, and Ross with a forklift, casters, and some serious precision.

Small machine. Massive legacy.

🎥 Hear Ross Kurth explain what makes it so unique.

The Earthmoving Legacy Center is known for preserving history.
It’s also where contractors come to learn how to build the future.

Over the past year, dozens of groups from civil construction companies across the industry have attended our Earthworks Scoreboard® Workshop.

Because moving dirt is one thing. Moving it profitably is the real challenge.

We’re now opening the Earthworks Scoreboard® Workshop to contractors across the industry.

Over two days, we break down the systems behind planning jobs, tracking production, selecting equipment, and building teams that execute in the field.

A 100+ year old machine getting ready to breathe again.

This Holt 10-Ton crawler has been in the shop since last summer, and it’s finally starting to look whole again. The engine is coming together, the cab is ready to go back on, and we’re getting close to the moment everyone’s waiting for…

The first fire-up.

When it runs, this tractor will replace another 10-ton currently displayed in the museum.

After more than a century, this piece of earthmoving history is about to move again.

Stay tuned.

🔧 1922 Holt 10-Ton Transmission Rebuild

After a fire and decades of wear, the Holt 10-Ton needed a full mechanical restoration before it could ever enter the museum. In this video, Craig and Steve take on one of the most critical components — rebuilding and reinstalling the transmission that drives the entire machine.

No shortcuts. No gimmicks. Just careful work on a piece of early tracked tractor history.

More work is still ahead on this Holt, including final assembly and the first fire-up — but this rebuild was a major step forward.
