Freeman Pottery

Freeman Pottery Our main goal is to become studio artists and to create work that people will want in their homes. Bambi received a Bachelors of Fine Art in Interior Design.

We both went into college thinking that it would take most of our lives to become self sustained artists working from our own studio. Mark received a Bachelors of Fine Art and then a Bachelors of Science in Secondary Education as a backup plan. Right before graduation we both received a wonderful job offer to be apprentices with Carol Long Pottery. Now, we are able to learn from her and further ho

ne our fine art skill set while also learning how to keep a ceramic business up and running efficiently. When our 5 years come to an end we will hopefully have our own business on the correct path just as Carol has done with Carol Long Pottery. It really is a blessing to learn new ideas and techniques from a pro. We want people to love each piece just as much as we do. We hope that our patrons will be able to feel our marks on each piece and be able to appreciate the subtle nuances that make each one unique and entirely handmade. Our obvious goal is to attend art fairs and shows as a sales avenue for our work. We also feel strongly about the importance of art in education and have been hosting workshops in colleges and high schools to teach students that what we do can be a career choice that is achievable and successful. Thanks,
Mark and Bambi Freeman.
