Three women.
Three different kinds of power.

One learned to survive the spotlight without letting it consume her.
One interprets the law while carrying the weight of history on her shoulders.
One walked into rooms this country never imagined would belong to her.

Whoopi.
Justice Jackson.
Vice President Harris.

Gold keeps finding its way into this series. Pearls too. So do eyes that never fully look at the viewer, because these women are not waiting for permission to exist inside the frame.

They’ve already seen too much for that.

Built Here

This is where it starts.

Not perfect form.
Not PRs.
Just showing up and putting the work in.

Six moments. One mindset.

If your space is built on discipline, not decoration—this belongs there.

Before the color moved freely… it had a body.

This one doesn’t ask for attention.
It doesn’t perform.
It doesn’t explain itself.

Eyes closed.
Still.
Certain.

Some pieces are loud.
Some pieces already know who they are.

Not everything shows up as a figure.

Some things stay in color.
Some things move before you understand them.
Some things hit… and you don’t have language for it yet.

One of these came from intention.
The other came from feeling.

Same hands.
Different moments.

If you’ve ever had to sit with something you couldn’t explain…
you already know these.

It starts small.

You learn to sustain yourself.
You learn to face yourself.

Then the world gets louder.

Bigger.
Heavier.
Unavoidable.

Creation doesn’t wait for quiet…
it happens in the middle of interruption.

Two foundations.
One reality.

Two ways of holding thought.

One builds it… piece by piece, until it can be worn.
The other breaks it apart… and studies what remains.

There’s structure here.
There’s fracture here.
But neither is random.

Every line holds.
Every placement answers something.

One is composed under pressure.
The other is arranged without apology.

Different languages. Same mind.

Formation & Containment

Two states. Same voice.

One piece asks the question.
The other answers it.

Formation & Containment explores what happens between instinct and intention—between what is becoming and what is decided.

Oil on wood. 24” x 24” each.

Not one style. Not one voice.

This is what happens when paint leads…
and when I decide to answer back.

Some of these pieces move.
Some of them settle.
All of them sit somewhere between instinct and intention.

Which one pulled you in first?
