From Lourans Mikhail‘s “Different Strokes” series.
“The brush is not considered as artwork itself. More commonly, it is only the tool used to create the artwork. It wields power, eliciting strong emotions by the words it writes, the imagery it creates, and the medium in which the message is delivered.
A brush exists in the background, isolated to the physicality of the studio, unaware of its final effort, and its impact on the viewer. Brushes imply, subliminally or outlandishly, a message in a specific medium. Rarely do they become the focal point, a solo experience that the viewer consciously feels and observes.“
These incredible pieces are part of the Bloodlines & Brushstrokes Exhibition. Come see it in person during Gallery and Last Spot bar hours!
