Adirondack Art Association We display and sell fine artwork by local artists. We are located on the shores of Lake Champlain, in historic Essex, NY.

The Adirondack Art Association is a nonprofit regional arts organization whose purpose is to encourage good friendship among artists and art enthusiasts alike. By providing social activities including gallery openings, educational workshops and lectures, the AAA continues to encourage community creativity by offering many means of art appreciation. There are so many amazing pieces of artwork are in our gallery right now!

This beautiful handcrafted jewelry by Lauren Errick of LeGaudere is very popular with our visitors all season long and would make a great gift for a special person this holiday season.

We are open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 12 to 5 for the rest of the holiday season, hope to see you soon.

Don’t miss the Holidays in Essex Celebrations taking place on Friday December 5th at 5 pm and Saturday December 13th at 9:30 am. There will be The Annual Tree Lighting, Caroling with cocoa & cookies, Arts and Crafts, A Choral Concert, Santa’s arrival at the Ferry Dock, Cookie Decorating and so much more. A fun time was had by all at the Haunted Hamlet on Saturday. Thanks to all who attended, Essex Initiatives, Town Supervisor Ken Hughes and everyone who worked so hard to make this an amazing event!!

Come to Essex on October 25, 2025, from 2pm - 8pm for the spookiest night of the year!

Our Gallery will be open and participating in this wonderful event!!

Every October, Essex transforms into the Halloween capital of the Adirondacks! Join us for a tour of our haunted town hall and a community costume party on Main Street!

In addition to our Gallery being open:

The Haunted Town Hall will open its doors from 4:30pm–8pm (it's FREE)!

Come early for a "no scare" experience! From 2:30-4pm the lights will be off but no actors will jump out at visitors to the Haunted Town Hall.

The Main Street Carnival runs from 2–8pm. Enjoy s'mores around the campfire, browse craft vendors, and monster mash to spooky dance tunes!

Pumpkin Painting (sponsored by the Belden Noble Memorial Library) behind Town Hall 2pm-4pm

Haunted Hayride Tours (sponsored by Essex Community Theatre) Time tbd‍

Joanie's work is very popular at our gallery and you can see why. Thank you to everyone who came out on Friday evening for our spooky Book Reading by Chris Locke at our Essex Gallery. Chris had everyone's undivided attention as he read from some of the captivating and sometimes eerie books he has written over the years. These books are available in the Local Author Section of the gallery right now.

These beautiful and whimsical pen and ink drawings were created by Raymond Karpicki and are absolutely perfect for this time of year.

We have so many other wonderful pieces of artwork at our gallery right now that beautifully reflect autumn in the Adirondacks, so please stop by any weekend this fall and see them for yourself. It’s Holiday Season and our gallery is a great place to find that special gift for anyone.
