Eugene Science Center was founded in 1961 as a branch of the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI). It was incorporated in 1977 as the Willamette Science & Technology Center (WISTEC), an independent 501(c)(3) corporation. The name "Science Factory" was adopted in 2002, and was later changed to Eugene Science Center in January 2018. We are the only science center in Lane and surrounding coun

ties. We provide a variety of educational programming including interactive exhibitions, planetarium shows and presentations, school programs, science camps, and special events. We primarily serve children ages 0 to 14 along with their families, teachers, and guardians.

Our June Member Show is Skywatchers of Africa.

For thousands of years, Africans have used their knowledge of the sky to build their societies, shape their spiritual lives, and meet their physical needs for survival. Skywatchers of Africa highlights the diversity of African astronomy, examines cultural uses of the sky that developed throughout history, and celebrates our shared human experience.

Member shows are free to Eugene Science Center members and are normally held daily at 4:00p.m. Please check our website to confirm showtimes.
