The Tintic Historical Society is very grateful to Lowell Didas from the Tintic Ophir and Wester Model Train Club for Donating a model of the Bullion Beck Headframe. The Model Train Show is at the Orem Mall until Saturday March 21st. The Bullion Beck Headframe is at the West entrance of Eureka. It is over 70 feet tall, and is one of Eureka's "Big Four", with connecting underground working with the Gemini and Eureka Hill Mines. This style of Headframe was capable of lifting mine carts from depths of up to 3000 feet. Underground mining enabled Eureka to be an important railway destination.
