Big News!

I am absolutely thrilled to share that I have been selected as the 2024 Old Town Art Fair Emerging Artist! is one of America’s longest running and most recognized fine art fairs, and I’m honored to have been given the opportunity to show alongside some of the most renowned artists in the country!!

I’ll share more in the coming months, but for now save the dates - Saturday June 8 & Sunday June 9, 2024 - for the 74th Annual Old Town Art Fair. I’d love to see you there!!

A quick before & after from this weekend’s raku session. (minus two porcelain pieces that didn’t make it thru the thermal shock and a terrible blue color test piece that has joined the “horrible things I’ve made” hall of fame). I’ll share properly lighted individual photos soon.

What a gift it was to work one on one with and benefit from his experience and perspective. I am extraordinarily grateful for his mentorship and guidance, and can’t wait to apply my new learning to my next round of work.

The power of one little cart. Love that I can roll this out and have my kiln furniture on hand when I need it, and then tuck it away when I don’t. Small joys. Nothing like a perfect post holiday sale find!

A field of test tiles waiting for new glaze tests.
After taking an extended break to recharge and spend time with family, it seems fitting to start the new year with something new. With some key materials joining the endangered list, it’s time to work on reformulating some of my glazes. For my fellow glaze geeks - first up is a direct 1:1 replacement of Gerstley Borate with Gillespie Borate, because wouldn’t it be nice if it was that simple? Stay tuned…
