Cfsaadmc The Center for the Study of African and African Diaspora Museums and Communities

-The Center's initial focus is on HBCU's with museums, galleries, and libraries with collections.

-Another goal is to develop literature for early enrichment audiences about African and African Diaspora Museums along with traveling programs that will introduce this audience to the Center partner museums.

-Finally, CFSAADMC will train students in the cultural politics of display and the history o

f African and African Diaspora Museums, including summer field research dedicated to connecting museums with museums in Africa and partner museums throughout the African Diaspora. Its courses are taught by Dr. Johnson-Simon and a series of visiting scholars and museum professionals brought to the center through continuing grants and donations from various sources.
