This short documentary is about Ike Babbitt, who created and played a One Man Band during the 1930s, 40s and 50s.

His act was quirky, funny and creative as he made music using his voice and all available limbs at once. He performed on radio, TV, played Madison Square Garden and the New York World’s Fair in 1940, among others.

The video touches on historic times and cultural changes – the growth of radio and mass media entertainment and the birth of television, to name a few.

One of my photographs has been chosen to be in the Fall National Juried Exhibition at Marin Museum of Contemporary Art (Marin MOCA). I made the Image “Golden Wall” in San Jose, Costa Rica in January 2016.

The exhibition runs October 29 – December 4.
