Heritage Acres Agricultural Interpretive Center

A fun and interactive early 20th century farmstead with events and exhibits Heritage Acres is a museum that informs about the agricultural life of the past.

With exhibits like our old farmhouse (where, on event days, you can even taste some homebaked cookies fresh from the antique oven), barn, elevator, chicken coop and one-room schoolhouse, you can immerse yourself in what life was like 150 years ago. We also have Prairieville which is Main Street of a time gone by all under one roof--the barber, doctor, dentist, saloon, soda fountain, smithy, livery and more.

We had such a GREAT turnout yesterday at our Harvest Festival! Thank you so much to the many people who came out to see our space, reminisce or learn, and enjoy great food and music! While we don't have any more regular events until next year, we can schedule tours at other times. Thank you to Federated REA, Nutrien, Nu-Way Welcome, B&B Trucking, and Maday Farms along with our great volunteers and board members! See you next August!

Looking forward to celebrating Heritage Acres' 50th year with you tomorrow! Come to Fairmont for the Fall Festival! Free gate and a lot of fun for all ages, including fresh-baked cookies from the house oven. It starts at 10:30am with an ecumenical church service in the church, then the rest begin at 11 a.m. Come check it out!

Five days to our last event of our 50th anniversary and 2025! Join us on Sunday to eat some homemade soups in Prairieville, eat a hot-from-the-antique-stove cookie in the farmhouse, swing on the rope in the loft of the barn, watch the blacksmith at his craft and SO MUCH MORE! An ecumenical service starts at 10:30am with the rest of the events starting at 11am and going until 4pm. JOIN US! It's FREE and safe and fun for all ages!

Get the Harvest Festival on your calendar! Fun for all ages with NO entry fee. Homemade soups and sides will be available for purchase in Prairieville. Steve Lang and Bob Petrowiak will provide music from 11am-3pm. Cookies will be baking in the old stove in the house, apple pressing, and harvesting corn and beans. And all our buildings will be open for touring! Prairieville and the bathrooms are handicap accessible. Click on the photo for all the details.
