She was a beautiful, young art student, and his biggest fan. They fell in love on an ocean liner and spent their lives sharing art. More than a hundred years later, the story of Gari and Corinne Melchers lives on in their home, Belmont. Come and explore this unique 18th century estate, tour stunning art galleries and hike the 27 acres of garden and trails. Share it with someone you love! A National Historic Landmark, Gari Melchers Home and Studio is one of just 30 of America’s most significant artists’ spaces included in the National Trust for Historic Preservation’s Historic Artists’ Homes and Studios consortium. Gari Melchers Home and Studio is home to the official Stafford County Visitor Center which is open daily 10 am – 5 pm.

We love supporting the FGP Fairy Godmother Project by offering free photography sessions for families in their care. 💙

Some photographs become more meaningful with time. Others remind us of the beauty in an ordinary moment. All of them tell a piece of our story.

Today, Fairy Godmother Project is hosting our fall family portrait sessions!

Our volunteer photographers are spending the afternoon taking photos of FGP kids and families, documenting the silliness, smiles, personalities, and little things that make each family special.

We're grateful to be able to offer these complimentary sessions to our families and especially thankful for the photographers who make them possible! Thank you Stacy Stiefel Laine, Amber Means, Sara Robertson, & Edward Maurer for giving your time and talent today!
