Due to a series of unfortunate events, the museum will be closed this week. Vickie is down south helping her daughter, who has just been put on bed rest, with the very active toddler. Jean has had a procedure that has her out this week as well. Thank you all for your understanding. Hope to see you next week!!

TA-DA! Big announcement: the museum's next "Eyewitness to History" video will premiere TODAY at 5 p.m. on YouTube. Go here to see it: https://youtu.be/CAhMOEFcH60
This video features Tuffy Fields and Cleo Gatson discussing the earliest days of integration at Farmerville High School, 1968-69. The times, they were a-changin' for sure.
The video was shot at FHS on September 19, 2025. The two guys did a great job sharing their thoughts about those long-ago days when they were teenagers. And Carter Carroll of ReCollect Media did a great job shooting and editing the video.
This is the third in a series of "Eyewitness to History" videos created by the Union Museum of History and Art.

The Museum tells the stories of people in and near Union Parish, Louisiana, through exhibits and special events. The Museum is located in Farmerville, Louisiana.

Discovery Place

When people visit the Union Museum of History and Art, they discover...a lot. They learn about this place they call home---its people and events of the past and present---and they also learn about themselves. Their own history. Their own passions. What makes them smile, or sizzle, or cry. They discover themselves.

Come discover yourself at The Museum.
