🌑️ The secret temperature triggers that tell them it's time to emerge

A huge thank you to Girl Scout Troop 10471 for their incredible work installing brand new bee hotels at the Riverside Nature Center yesterday! 🐝✨

These custom-built structures provide crucial nesting habitats for our local pollinators, helping support biodiversity right here in our park! We are so proud of these young conservationists for dedicating their time, creativity, and hard work to protecting local wildlife.

Stop by the nature center to see their amazing work in person and learn more about how you can support beneficial insects in your own backyard!

🍏The Heritage Orchard is full of Apples Right now!🍎

We've been getting a lot of questions and yes, you can pick them!

All we ask is that you take only what you need for your pies, crumbles, or fritters, so that there's some available for other visitors and local critters! Come enjoy the agricultural heritage of the city we call home!

Note: These fruit trees are not treated by the city. Only irrigated.
