I love the surprising and unconventional. Like when an old church with amazing colored glass windows becomes an arts center. I visited the Love Hope Center for the Arts with my mom to see a juried exhibition by the West Virginia Watercolor Society. And while it wasn't my first time at the center, I'm always impressed with the beauty and uniqueness of it. I only realized yesterday that several of the walls were on casters and could easily be moved by one person to accommodate different kinds of events, like the music program they had hosted the night before. Clever and so functional. If you are in the area of Fayetteville WV on Thursday through Sunday, you should go visit. See a link to their website in the comments.

Performing tonight at New River Yoga: multi-instrumental sonic artist Matt Venuti! Doors open at 6:30 and the show begins at 7:30. Attendees are encouraged to bring snacks and beverages to share. This is Matt’s first performance during his artist residency in Fayetteville. Love Hope Arts is excited to host “Aqueous 2026,” the National Juried Exhibition presented by the West Virginia Watercolor Society!

Opening Friday, May 15, this juried exhibition features outstanding watercolor work by 22 artists, with artist Lotus MacDowell serving as juror.
A closing reception and awards ceremony will be held June 27, where honors including Best of Show, Awards of Excellence, Awards of Merit, Honorable Mentions, and People’s Choice will be presented.

Join us on May 22nd for a truly special performance by musician Matt Venuti!

The AmeriCosmos Experience is a masterclass in original cinematic visuals and live music, blending rare acoustic and electronic instruments with breathtaking video projections.
