(CFS) is a nonprofit arts organization in historic downtown Fayetteville. Our mission is to involve, educate, and enrich Cumberland County and surrounding communities with the opportunity to create and freely view art. We invite you to visit our main gallery and retail gallery to find beautiful paintings, photographs, sculptures, pottery, wood and glass art, and fine jewelry by local, national, an

d international artists. We present quality exhibits at no cost to the public, and offer educational opportunities to the community through workshops, classes, and mentoring. A reminder that our upcoming 2-Day Watercolor Workshop with award-winning artist and instructor, JJ Jiang, will be held on Saturday and Sunday June 27th and 28th from 9am to 4pm each day.
JJ is a gifted instructor who teaches the simplicity of watercolor painting while bringing clarity, confidence and common sense to his instruction. With sincerity and good humor he will share his wisdom and insights with a unique and refreshing perspective that he truly enjoys sharing with his students.

Sharing happy images from the opening reception of our 2026 Clay Invitational exhibit, featuring the works of potters Geniece Baer, Chrisha Dolan and Charise Kelly. The exhibit opened May 22nd and will run through June 23rd. Please stop by and enjoy up close the amazing pieces created by our local clay makers.

We are pleased to share a sneak peek of our new show, our ‘2026 Clay Invitational’, featuring the amazing artwork of Chrisha Dolan, Charise Kelly and Geneice Baer.
The exhibit will be on display in the main gallery May 22nd - June 23rd and the opening reception is this Friday, May 22nd from 6-8pm.
Please stop by and see the original clay designs from these talented area potters, ranging from functional to sculptural and decorative pieces.

Creativity lives here! Meet our makers:

Guy Jencks is another of our Studio Artists. He favors the different styles of Raku pottery, and loves the unlimited possibilities of artistic pottery as he forms art from the basic elements of earth, fire and water. As a potter and artist he intends to keep learning from his environment and the people around him as he evolves his abilities.

We are pleased to announce our upcoming 2-Day Watercolor Workshop with award-winning artist and gifted instructor, JJ Jiang. JJ is a signature member of both the American Watercolor Society and the National Watercolor Society, a North Carolina Watercolor Society Master Signature Member and a signature member of Oil Painters of America.
In this workshop, intended for ‘advanced beginners’ (with some knowledge and experience with watercolor) to advanced, JJ will do daily step-by-step demos and provide individual guidance tailored to your level, while sharing wisdom and insights from his eastern cultural background and deep knowledge of western art.

Sneak Peek! We are excited to announce the opening of our new exhibition, our Annual Members’ Spring Exhibit, on display April 24th - May 19th in the main gallery. We have some beautiful new works from our members, several with dogwoods as a theme, along with dogwood art from our young painting students displayed in our classroom area.
Our opening reception will be held on Friday April 24th from 6 to 8pm. Hope to see you there!
