Three more weeks to apply to the 2025 Open Call for Proposals!

Deadline :: January 1, 2025 at 11:59PM

The Neon Heater is a contemporary artist-run space in Findlay, OH with monthly exhibitions of conceptual and installation based works, contemporary photography and painting trends, video and new media.

We are currently seeking proposals for solo artist and small group exhibitions exploring contemporary issues such as identity, the climate, the socio-political landscape, geopolitics, speculative futures, magic and spirituality, fresh starts, and anything in-between that explores, critiques or promotes the present moment.

Proposal Details ::

Please email or share a single .pdf with names, images and project proposal, websites, resume, artist statement to [email protected] with the subject line 2025 Open Call Submission.

A $15 submission fee can be made to our paypal ([email protected]) - the submission fee helps us pay an honorarium to chosen artists.

Proposals need not be of currently realized work, but in the case of creating future work, please include images and examples of past projects and work.

*All applicants will be contacted by Feb. 28th

45 more days to submit to the 2023 - 2024 Open Call for Proposals at The Neon Heater Art Gallery

We're looking for exhibitions which speak to the present moment in the socio-political climate -- as such the gallery will be painted an obnoxiously radioactive Neon Orange throughout the entire year.

Visit the website for past exhibitions and information at theneonheater.com -- there is a layout available in the about us section and documentation of most of the physical shows (apologies we've been kind of weird about that lately, blame the pandemic)

There is a $10 application fee which goes towards supplying exhibiting artists with an honorarium. The deadline to apply is April 15th at 11:59PM EST.
