✍️ New This Year: Literary Contest
For the first time, the Findlay Art League is expanding this exhibition beyond visual art with the addition of a literary category. Writers are invited to explore the theme through essays, poetry, and short stories, offering another way to reflect on America's past, present, and future.

Whether through words or images, we look forward to celebrating the many perspectives and stories that make up our shared experience.

Hello Findlay Art League Members, Friends, Art Lovers, and Community Supporters,

Summer invites us to see things a little differently. The colors are brighter, the days are longer, and inspiration seems to appear in unexpected places—a garden in bloom, a road trip discovery, a walk through downtown, or a quiet moment with a sketchbook.

At the Findlay Art League, summer is a season of creativity, exploration, and connection. This special summer edition of ARTicles will take us through June, July, and August, highlighting upcoming exhibits, classes, workshops, and opportunities to engage with the arts throughout the season.

Whether you're traveling, creating, learning something new, or simply enjoying a slower pace, we hope you'll find time to connect with the creative community that makes the Findlay Art League such a special place.

And that is exactly why it connects us so deeply.
Technique, theory, and rules are just the vehicle—the feeling is the destination. A piece of art can be technically flawless but leave you completely cold, while a raw, simple, three-chord song or a chaotic splash of paint can make you want to weep or conquer the world.

It bypasses the logical brain and goes straight for the chest.
