Thank you to the Hadley Township Historical Society for adopting the 1910 Randolph Truck!

After forming General Motors in 1908, Billy Durant went on a wild spending spree to acquire smaller vehicle manufacturers, including the Randolph Motor Car Company of Chicago. The company moved to Flint and began truck production at a Kearsley Street plant.

In 1911, in an effort to regain financial stability, GM began selling many of the companies Durant had purchased. Newspaper accounts of the time indicate that GM sold the building used by Randolph to Sterling Motor Company (a company formed by Durant) and Randolph became homeless. In March of 1913, an auction dispersed the assets of the company.

🚀 The Centurion is fondly known to many of our visitors by its nicknames "the Jetson car" and "the bubble car," among others. This space-age concept car was far ahead of its time with a back-up camera prototype! A television camera, mounted just above the tail cone, projects images from the rear of the car to a screen on the dash.

The 1956 Buick Centurion is available for adoption, along with over 30 historic vehicles on display inside Sloan Museum at Courtland Center! Find out how you can help preserve our automotive history for future generations at SloanLongway.org/Adopt-A-Car.
