U-S-History.com U-S-History.com is a Web site devoted to American history, with thousands of articles, linked to each other, to external sources, and to books about history.

The site has been under development for about ten years. We've employed some retired academics in Florence, most notably the late Jack Newlon PhD, who is responsible for the high quality of the site. We have attempted to increase the number of links to source material, much of which was not available when we first designed the site. We now prefer to say a small amount using the voices of the times and link visitors to fuller texts that are available elsewhere.

I'm still getting the hang of what gets posted under what heading. A new feature that we're developing is to connect textbooks chapter-by-chapter, and even section-by-section to pages at U-S-History.com that will expand on what the textbooks says. We're starting with the Glencoe/McGraw-Hill textbook "American Vision - Modern Times."
