The City of Folsom opened the Gallery at 48 Natoma in June of 2007. An interesting line-up of art exhibits showcases a wide variety of art by regional and national artists, area museum collections as well as national traveling exhibitions. Whether you “know what you like” or are interested in seeing something completely different; from the conservative to the cutting edge – there will be something here for everyone.

The Gallery at 48 Natoma will feature unique art focusing on abstract imagery to kick off the new year. Two artists work in this contemporary style are highlighted in the exhibit, "Abstract Ideas." Linda Nunes will display a variety of paintings in mixed media including cold wax and oils. Matt Rhoades also uses mixed media including oils and collage. The exhibit will be open February 16 to April 18, 2024.

The next exhibit at the Gallery at 48 Natoma in Folsom is simply gorgeous. Three artists working in floral and landscape imagery push the boundaries of their medium with formed glass, photorealistic flowers, and incredible textile pieces.
Katie Shulte Joung creates largescale glass and metal flowers, some of which are free standing. Nataly Tikhomirov paints amazing tromp-l’oeil (deceives the eye) watercolors, and Sandra Mollon stitches incredible appliquéd textile pieces. “Glass, Paper and Scissors," will be on display at the Gallery at 48 Natoma, from September 8 to November 8, 2023.

Have you ever been to a scenic spot and seen an artist with an easel out in the meadow painting the landscape, or bracing the winds on a rocky ocean cliff capturing the breaking waves? These are what are known as plein-air painters. The Granite Group is one of the premier plein air groups in California. They will have over 60 amazing landscape paintings in oils, acrylics, and pastels on display at the Gallery at 48 Natoma, in Folsom, from June 23 to August 31, 2023.

What fun it is to re-live the playful times of our childhood. Climbing trees, running around in playgrounds, swimming and playing. These themes are brought together by two artists in the next exhibit at the Gallery at 48 Natoma, in Folsom. Large, narrative paintings by Cherie Hacker and whimsical ceramic sculpture by Sandy Calhoun are featured in “Playful Pieces,” from April 14 to June 15, 2023.
