Looking for fun for the whole family this Halloween season? Join us for an afternoon of spook-tacular fun!

Enjoy trick-or-treating, fall-themed games and crafts, food, and a visit from the amazing Marsh Haven Nature Center! 🍂🕷️

Round up your family, pick out your costumes, and grab your bucket! It’s time for trick or treating at the Historic Galloway House and Village! Families will not only have fun going door to door in our historic village, they’ll also get to make creative, fall-themed crafts and play outdoor fall games. We might even bring back some favorites like Make-Your-Own Pumpkin Guts and Gourd Bowling!

NEW THIS YEAR: We’re excited to feature an interactive exhibit by Marsh Haven Nature Center. Come meet a critter or two!

We participate in the Teal Pumpkin Project.

🌻 Celebrate the End of Summer at the Historic Galloway House and Village! 🌻

Summer has flown by, and the 2025 season is drawing to a close—but there’s still time for one last adventure! Don’t miss your final chance to visit the Historic Galloway House and Village before we close for the season.

🎉 Special Event: Picnic on the Grounds
🗓 This Sunday, August 24th
🕚 Open 11 AM – 3 PM

Bring your own picnic and spend the day enjoying games, food, and fun with family and friends—all across our beautiful historic grounds!

🧺 What to Expect:

-Classic lawn games like croquet and badminton
-A free cup of lemonade to keep you cool
-A presentation on the history of picnics at 1 PM

Don’t miss a fascinating presentation on the history of the Waupun Prison, brought to you by Zac Dickhut of the Waupun Historical Society. It’s a unique opportunity to explore the stories behind one of Wisconsin’s historic institutions.

🕰️ The Galloway House and Village will be open for tours from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, so come early and make a day of it!

Join us this Sunday for the 69th Annual Ice Cream Social at the Historic Galloway House and Village!

Doors open at 10 AM!

Did you know that ice cream socials have been around since the 1600s? The first recorded serving of ice cream in the American colonies dates back to 1744. Even Thomas Jefferson was a fan—he famously served ice cream at the White House in 1802!

Over the centuries, ice cream socials have brought people together for everything from community gatherings to fundraising events.

We can’t wait to see you this weekend for a fun-filled day of sweet treats and great company!
