Notes from Hall of Heros!!
Three weeks ago our World War II single level building was an empty room until 18 volunteers moved in and put in over 100 hours of organization. Visitors tell us Heritage Park has one of the best all around physical snapshot of who we are, who we were, and how we got here in the region. The Hall of Heroes will not let you down spotlighting on the military and local people , repeat local people who served our country. The nearby WW I soldier has a uniform worn by L. Eymann as well as uniforms from names like Hagen, Hoil, Shropshire, Buffington, V. Maas, Jones, Helm, Groe, Hanson and others. Also a Wall of Heroes with pictures of county residents( over 500) you will recognize who served during the big war! Our goal is to make the visit experience one for all ages to get closer to those locally who provided our freedom!
All Gave Some, Some Gave ALL!
Opening this summer!!!

Seven years ago this weekend close to 4000 Vietnam Vets received their welcome from their neighbors, family, friends and communities. What started out as an event for maybe 100 vets turned into a much larger event which is still talked about today. It was time to make a wrong right to those who served!
