Black History of Monroe County

Black History of Monroe County Mrs. Rosemary Walker is the founder of Black History of Monroe County. She started this exhibit back in 2008. Since February 1, 2008 Mrs.

Its design to showcase and recognize our wonderful African-American who made a difference. Rosemary Walker created an event showcasing the accomplishment of African-Americans in Monroe County. The exhibit includes personal effects, photographs, art, and stories of notable locals collected from families around the county. The museum open during the entire month of February.
