Avery House The Avery House is the flagship property of the Poudre Landmarks Foundation This exquisite home at 328 W. Mountain Ave.

in Fort Collins, Colorado, was built in 1879 and was the family home of Franklin and Sara Avery and their three children. The home was built of sandstone from local quarries and includes a carriage house, large yard, gazebo, and fountain. The Avery House serves as a museum honoring life at the turn of the 19th century. Open for free tours each Saturday 11am - 2pm & Sunday, 1–4 p.m. The Avery House is managed by Poudre Landmarks Foundation.

Countdown to Colorado Gives Day! 4 Days!
It’s more than just a day. It’s a movement that inspires and unites thousands of donors to give where they live and support Colorado nonprofits.

Want to see more community-driven, historically-minded events like The Big Splash?

Colorado Gives Day is a statewide movement to increase online giving. This year, Community First Foundation and FirstBank are presenting Colorado Gives Day on Tuesday, December 6, 2022. Donations are accepted at ColoradoGives.org, which features more than 2,500 nonprofits. Colorado Gives Day is one of the most successful events of its kind in the nation. Since its inception in 2010, the event has raised more than $217 million for Colorado nonprofits.

Our annual Holiday Open House and Boutique is just around the corner!

See the Avery House decorated in Victorian holiday style on the second weekend in December: Saturday & Sunday, Dec. 10-11, Saturday from 11 am to 2 pm and Sunday from 1 pm until 4 pm. There will be Victorian Christmas trees on display, live Christmas music played throughout the day, and a visit from Old Saint Nick!
Also, shop the Avery Carriage House boutique for craft items, gifts, books, baked goods, and homemade toffee. This boutique is a great place to do your holiday shopping!

Admission is FREE!
