The Mirror Lake Studio

The Mirror Lake Studio Devoted to creating paintings for patrons in addition to hosting public and private classes. in art education. Marsha moved to Colorado in l990.

Locally known and accepted at a national level, Marsha Krygier, has a great affection and respect for the visual arts. Marsha grew up in a community where the arts flourish (Santa Barbara, Calif.) Her formal art training began under Jack Baker, an internationally known painter, and Don Paulson, a professional painter and art instructor. Her art training was continued at Northern Arizona University

where she completed her B.S. Upon graduation, she was recruited to Australia and taught art (and English) in the cities of Townsville, Queensland and Melbourne, Victoria for 3 1/2 years. During the l980's Marsha lived on the San Francisco penninsula where she continued her art studies at San Jose State University. In addition to her masters' level courses, she held two "one-woman" shows at Hewlett-Packard's corporate headquarters in Palo Alto, California and showed in local galleries. She has been a member of the Artists Association of Northern Colorado since that time and a continuous member of Fort Collins galleries. Her work has graced many homes, restaurants and retail establishments. Marsha also instructs watercolor classes. Please contact her for details. Marsha has a great affection and respect for the visual arts. She feels that painting is a discipline, like music, that must be continually practiced and improved. She is challenged by painting because of the learning that takes place whenever one seeks to create a visual expression of the world. Marsha has had work accepted into National shows, but her greatest honor, is having a patron who desires to own one of her pieces. She welcomes commissions, especially portrait work, which she finds very satisfying, because of the meaning to the patron and the significance the piece may carry, for generations to come.
